About Troop 415

Troop 415 meets weekly (holidays and special circumstances excluded) in the Serra Room of St. John Baptist De La Salle Catholic Church Elizabeth Seton Hall Building Complex. Located just north of the corner of Hayvenhurst Ave. and Chatsworth St. in Granada Hills, California, the Scouts work on Scout skills preparing them to advance in the Scouting program. Troop meetings are scheduled from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Troop 415 is Chartered through St. John Baptist De La Salle Catholic Church. The charter is granted yearly by the Western L.A. County Council, Boy Scouts of America. The troop is part of a geographic area known as a district where other troops and Cub Scout Packs meet, designated by the Council. Troop 415 is part of the Balboa Oaks District. The adult leaders are registered and approved by the Chartered Organization through its Chartered Organization Representative.

Troop 415 is a Boy Run Troop consisting of elected Scouts to the positions of Senior Patrol, Assistant Senior Patrol, Patrol and Assistant Patrol Leaders as well as Quartermaster, Scribe and other leadership positions.

The Patrol Leader Council, which is made up of the Senior Patrol Leader, the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and all the patrol leaders plan the calendar and the activities with the guidance of the Scoutmaster and approval of the troop committee.

The Scouts in the troop are appointed by the Scout Master for the position of Senior Patrol Leader and the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader into office. The patrol leaders are elected into office by the Scouts in the patrol.
